Visit to the new Acropolis Museum
On Tuesday, 29 September 2009 beginners course visited the new Acropolis museum and appreciated its collections which include 4.000 exhibits - artifacts from the Archaic, Classical, and Roman periods.
Everyone was particularly impressed by the museum’s architecture which allows natural lighting in the inside and view of the excavations through the glass floors. With the Acropolis rock as a background, our students got a full view of the Parthenon sculptures as they used tobe on the ancient monument and appreciated the beautiful Caryatids up close.
Αt the museum café with an Acropolis view, our students talked about their impressions of the visit. Then they went for a walk at Theseio. They promised to see each other at the Hellenic American Union in October.
