Visit to the Museum of Greek Folk Art
On December 14, 2011, students from the Basic 2 and Intermediate 3 level courses of our Modern Greek Language Program visited the Museum of Greek Folk Art.
The museum, founded in 1918 by the poet Georgios Drosinis, is located at 17 Kydathinaion Street, in Plaka.
Our students had the opportunity to admire the museum’s rich collections, which display prominent artifacts that shaped the cultural identity of modern Greeks from the 17th to the beginning of the 20th century.
This visit broadened our students’ knowledge about Greek history and civilization and, as a result, classes ended in a most pleasant and constructive way.
