The Hellenic American Union online tests combine cutting edge technology with the latest trends in skills evaluation.

The following tests are currently available online:

Modern Greek placement test

Take the test to place into our Modern Greek courses or to simply check your level of language competency.

Check Your English

Take the test to check your level of competency in English. If you wish to learn English or to improve your English, you may take our on-site English placement test and place into our English courses.

English writing skills test

Take the test to evaluate your writing skills. If you wish to get help on any writing problem in both English and Greek, you may contact our Writing Center.

Translation test

Take the test to check your translation abilities in translating from English into Greek.

ALCE Past Paper Practice Test Items

A number of practice test items taken from past papers of the ALCE is now available for those of you who plan to take the exam. Check your skills by taking any of the listening, grammar, vocabulary or reading activities our academic experts have selected for you. Each activity is accompanied by information on which answer choice is correct and why and how challenging each item is so you can see how well you do compared to the thousands of candidates who have taken the ALCE examination.

After you have taken an activity, remember to come back here to find the answer keys and detailed analysis of each item for all the activities.

ECCE Practice Activities

You can now do the online ECCE Practice Activities that our academic team has selected for you. There are twenty-one listening, grammar, vocabulary and reading activities to help you improve your skills in all parts of the written examination. Moreover, after you have gone through an activity and receive your score, come back here and find the answer keys and analysis of each item, with an explanation why a specific choice is correct as well as an indication of the level of difficulty of each item.
