Dimitris Tolias

Ph.D. – Director of eLearning, Hellenic American University, USA

Dimitris Tolias has been involved in education and in management for more than 25 years.

Since 2011, he has been a certified and trained reviewer of CEA, a federal organization responsible for the accreditation of educational institutions (schools, colleges and universities) in the US and in the rest of the world. Dimitris Tolias is working in serveral research project related to eLearning, digital technologies applied to education and virtual learning environments.

He has participated in various research projects around the globe on developing virtual environments. He has designed an online platform for the teaching of foreign languages in cooperation with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in USA, as well as educational applications for foreign language learning for classroom environments and mobile applications in association with technology companies in the US and in Greece. He teaches Second Language Acquisition, Intercultural Communication and Critical Discourse Analysis in the MA in Applied Linguistics/TESOL and Critical Thinking and Information Literacy in the General Education Program at Hellenic American University.

Dimitris is an instructor in Workshop on Online Teaching and AI for Trainers.
