Black History Month 2016
The Hellenic American Union celebrates Black History Month.

Black History Month, or National African American History Month, is an annual observance for remembrance of the exceptional contributions made by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history. The Hellenic American Union participated in the celebrations with the Black History Month Event, which was organized by the Library. Students of the Young Learners and Adolescents Program attended an informative presentation and discussion which lead to a better understanding and appreciation for the impact African Americans have made on North America.
