🧊 A pillow, a fridge, and a little bit of luck

You’ve probably read the title twice already! What do pillows, fridges and good luck have in common? A fair question indeed... although, for our kinder team at the Hellenic American Union, “reasonable” is, quite frankly, overrated!

Inspired by the quirky tradition of ‘Putting a Pillow on Your Fridge Day’, we designed a workshop that brought together imagination, playfulness, and a healthy dose of mischief. We began by rethinking the very purpose of pillows. What exactly is their mission in this world? Warm hugs? Moments of rest? Or could they perhaps be a secret lucky charm that few know about?

Armed with our magic wands, we transformed our pillows into anything our imaginations could dream up. And, of course, our parent helpers took on a very important role: they became... refrigerators! Pillows and fridges mixed and matched in every colour combination, while everyone received a little dose of good luck; just as tradition requires.

Whether or not the tradition really brings luck is a matter of question, but it certainly brought plenty of smiles and laughter!  And that's the kind of magic we believe in! ✨🍀🛏️
