Ioanna Arampatzi

Joanna Arampatzi graduated with honors from the Department of English Language and Literature and holds an M.A. in Translation Studies and Interpreting from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Alongside her bachelor’s studies, she volunteered as a Greek language teacher in the European pilot program "Curing the Limbo" under the auspices of the Municipality of Athens teaching Greek to refugees.

During her postgraduate studies, she was awarded an Erasmus+ scholarship to conduct her Master’s thesis at the University of the Basque Country in Spain, specializing in Experimental Linguistics and the fields of psycholinguistics, bilingualism and translation. Her research has been presented at academic symposia and published in a book chapter. She has also worked in Seville, Spain, for a European organization that designs and implements educational programs for adolescents, supporting participants through linguistic and intercultural mediation and teaching Spanish.

Having completed her internship at the Hellenic American Union as an English language teacher, she joined its teaching staff in 2022. She speaks English, Spanish and German and loves travelling!
