VCTA-DCV | Core Technical Skills
Τhe VCTA-DCV | Core Technical Skills is a 32-hour training program that introduces participants to the core concepts of virtualization and provides the technical foundation for managing virtualized data centers with VMware vSphere. Designed for IT professionals at the beginning of their VMware journey, this course combines theory with hands-on labs, ensuring that learners not only understand the principles of vSphere but also gain practical skills applicable in real environments.
Participants will learn how to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot core vSphere infrastructure, manage virtual machines throughout their lifecycle, and work with networking and storage configurations. The training also covers resource monitoring, snapshots, migrations, and the fundamentals of high availability (HA) and distributed resource scheduling (DRS).
By the end of the program, attendees will have the essential skills required to support day-to-day operations in a modern data center. This course also serves as a preparation path for the official VCTA-DCV certification, helping professionals validate their VMware knowledge and take the first step toward more advanced VMware training such as VCP-DCV.
