Presentation of Emmanuella Nikolaides’s Greek translation of David Ramsbottom and Samuel Wilson’s children’s bookThe book, which was originally published in January 2020, was dedicated to a girl named Ophelia, who suffered from cerebral palsy. Children with physical disabilities like Ophelia live in Greece, too and to help them nourish their their dreams, the Cerebral Palsy Greece/Open Door and Eleftheroudakis Publications decided to seek the authors’ copyright and publish the book in Greek. The book deals with overcoming adversity and helping others. It celebrates the importance of lending a hand to those in need and reminds us that quite often, people with disabilities, offer much more to us than what we give back to them. Speakers: Actress Olia Lazaridou will read the book. |
Open Door’s Choir Coro Piccolo will sing parts of the book, under the direction of Stella Lessi.
