The first in a series of discussions with Greek luminaries scientists from various fields
The Hellenic American Union is organizing a series of discussions with Greek luminary scientists who have contributed to and influenced their fields worldwide. This initiative is a tribute to all Greeks, with a particular focus on young people.
The first session will take place on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 19:00.
At the Hellenic American Union Theatre, the participants will be:
- Stylianos Antonarakis, Geneticist, Professor and Chair of the Department of Genetic Medicine, University of Geneva
- Georgios Chrousos, Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics and Endocrinology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Head of the UNESCO Chair on Adolescent Health and Medicine
- Stratis Pattakos, Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Director of the 2nd Cardiothoracic Surgery Clinic, Hygeia Hospital
- Georgios Pavlakis, Chief, Human Retrovirus Section, National Cancer Institute, USA (participating via Zoom)
The dialogue between scientists and the audience will be moderated by journalist and author Makis Provatas.
