The magic of the holidays fills the theater with one of the most heartwarming Christmas films
The Hellenic American Union, in collaboration with Mooviereel, presents on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 19:15, the classic film by George Seaton, “Miracle on 34th Street” (1947).
The American Film Institute has included the film in its “AFI 100 Years…100 Cheers” list, ranking it 9th, and it was nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, ultimately winning three: Best Original Story, Best Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor for Edmund Gwenn, who plays Santa Claus.
Synopsis:
An elderly man takes on the role of Santa Claus at Macy’s department store and convinces a little girl, who doesn’t believe in the Christmas myth, that miracles can happen at any moment.
