Amanda Michalopoulou has written eight novels and three short story collections. She has been awarded the Novel Prize of Diavazo magazine (1996) for her book Yantes; the International Literature Award of the American National Institute of Arts and Letters and the Liberis Liber of the Independent Catalan Publishers for I'd like (2005); and the Short Story Award of the Academy of Athens Petrou Chari Foundation for Bright Day (2012). Works of hers have been adapted for the theater and translated into twenty languages. Most recently, the translation of her book God’s Wife (2019) was shortlisted for an NTA Award in the USA. Her most recent work is Her Transformation (2022). She has also edited the collective volumes The Secret and Literary Almanac 2021, featuring works by creative writing students of hers.
Giannis Palavos is the author of the short story collections True Love and other stories (2007); Funny (2012; Greek State Prize for Short Story, and Short Story Award by Anagnostis magazine); and The Child (2019). In cooperation with Tassos Zafiriadis, he wrote the script for the comics The Corpse (2011) and Gra-Gru (2017; Best Comic Strip and Script Award / Greek Comics Awards), illustrated by Thanasis Petrou. He edited a new edition (2019) of Ath. Th. Gravalis’s short story collection Broken Columns (1930). In addition to prose (Faulkner, Flannery O’Connor, Wallace Stegner, et al.), he has translated poetry: Alden Nowlan (It's Good to Be Here, 2020) and Guillevic (The Sea, upcoming); as well as poems by Edgar Lee Masters, Donald Justice, Billy Collins, Langston Hughes, Blaže Koneski, Miroslav Holub and others, that have been published in journals and magazines.
