On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the American author Truman Capote, the HAU Movie Club presents the classic film by Blake Edwards, Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961), starring Audrey Hepburn, based on the eponymous book by the renowned author

In this timeless film, we meet the beautiful and eccentric Holly Golightly, who is desperately searching for the next party and a wealthy fiancé, when she encounters Paul, a poor writer who falls passionately in love with her.

The film was nominated for five Oscars: Best Actress for Audrey Hepburn, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Art Direction, Best Music, and Best Original Song. It ultimately won two Oscars: one for the iconic music by Henry Mancini and one for the song “Moon River.”
