The Hellenic American Union supports the 37th Panorama of European Cinema and hosts the FIPRESCI seminar titled "European Cinema in Crisis – National Cinemas and a Look to the Future"
Eleven members of FIPRESCI, the International Federation of Film Critics—nine from European countries and two from Greece—will participate in the seminar, which is open to all cinema enthusiasts and professionals. The participants are Sona Karapoghosyan (Armenia), Janet Barış (Turkey), Ionuț-Mihai Fulger (Romania), Artur Zaborski (Poland), Nino Shvelidze (Georgia), Lida Ruby Bach (Germany), Martina Vacková (Czech Republic), Hervé Bry (France), Tonci Valentic (Croatia), Dimitra Kyrillou (Greece), and the Panorama’s artistic director, Ninos Mikelidis.
The speakers will address the future of European films from multiple perspectives, including production, distribution, theatrical exhibition, the role of platforms, streaming, film education, and the function of film criticism.
The seminar will be conducted in English.
