The first Queer Con Festival is coming this September to the Hellenic American Union, featuring a wide variety of events
Queer Con sets a date for September 14 & 15, 2024, celebrating queer art, aesthetics, pop culture, and visibility! The festival is organized as part of the Athens Pride Fall Activities.
In the Galleries and Theater of the Hellenic American Union, visitors can enjoy exhibitions on the history of local LGBTQI+ art, queer illustration, an Artists’ Alley featuring illustrators and artists, documentary and fiction film screenings, acclaimed speakers and directors, stand-up comedy, and drag shows.
The two-day event will be accompanied by Pride 98.6 radio with music selections, live radio broadcasts, and DJ sets.
The program runs from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on both days.
All venues are fully accessible for individuals with limited mobility.
The opening event will take place on Friday, September 13 at 19:00, featuring the premiere screening of the documentary No Straight Lines.
