The Konstantinos Karamanlis Institute for Democracy and Hellenic American University are organizing an open discussion on the occasion of the change in U.S. leadership
U.S. elections and the arrival of a new President always signal the emergence of a particular worldview and political approach. The aim of the event is to clarify our assessments of the U.S. election results, removing peripheral or secondary debates, and to evaluate the challenges and opportunities that the change in leadership of the superpower presents for the world and for Greece.
Speakers at the event include:
Dora Bakoyannis, Member of Parliament (New Democracy), Chair of the National Defense and Foreign Affairs Committee, former Minister of Foreign Affairs
Ino Afentouli, Executive Director of the Institute of International Relations at Panteion University
Georgios Stylianos Prevelakis, Emeritus Professor of Geopolitics at Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris 1), Distinguished Visiting Professor at Hellenic American University, former Ambassador
Theodoros Pelagidis, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Greece, Professor of Economics at the University of Piraeus, and former Interim Minister of Finance
The discussion will be moderated by journalist Fanis Papathanasiou.
