Hellenic American Union Theater

The Hellenic American Union presents a special film tribute as part of the 9th Athens Hispanic Film Festival – FeCHA.

For the 9th consecutive year, the Hellenic American Union collaborates with the Athens Hispanic Film Festival – FeCHA, presenting 7 unique short films and 1 feature-length documentary on May 27.
Audiences will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite short film and participate in a Q&A with director Yiannis Kostavaras.

These events are held with the support of the Instituto Cervantes. 

All films are screened with Greek subtitles. Admission is free and no reservation is required.

20:00 – “The Guitar Maker”
Dir. Yiannis Kostavaras, Greece, 2025, 76’

A Greek luthier from a small village in Serres, known for making the finest flamenco guitars in the world, dreams of creating the first international flamenco music festival in his hometown. With the help of his artist friends, he sets out to make that dream a reality.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the filmmakers and a live flamenco presentation by the Hola Flamenco Festival.
