Led by Nikos Vatopoulos, this time we explore Pagrati and Mets, discovering traces of the past, the stories of the city, and all that connects us to its history
This new walk is part of the series of Athenian routes organized by the Hellenic American Union, aiming to introduce participants to different aspects of the city center. A walk along the historical route from Pagrati to Mets gives us the opportunity to experience Athens’ historic landscape around the Panathenaic Stadium, the bed of the Ilissos River, and the Zappeion, passing through narrow streets and public spaces.
Starting from the Church of Saint Spyridon, next to the Basil & Elise Goulandris Museum on Eratosthenous Street, we will explore aspects of Pagrati and Mets in close contact with some of the capital’s most significant landmarks.
