This year, Queer Con 3 puts music centre stage, celebrating the sounds, lyrics, and cultural icons that have shaped queer identity, culture, and liberation!
At the heart of the event is the main audiovisual exhibition “From The Closet, to the Stars”, dedicated to the divas, pioneering creators, and landmark songs of the community. The music program culminates in a screening of the legendary glam-punk rock musical “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”, as well as a special live Q&A with acclaimed composer Stamatis Kraounakis.
The festival also unfolds across three vibrant days of performances, screenings, conversations, and events, bringing together a dynamic range of contemporary queer creativity. The program includes screenings of feature films, documentaries, and animation; explosive dance performances by the Rainbow Dancers; a spectacular Drag Cabaret; sharp stand-up comedy by the Snap Comedy Club; and liberating karaoke. The experience is rounded out by meaningful panels and discussions focusing on inclusion and visibility, presentations of new books, comic anthologies, and academic studies, as well as interactive workshops that transform Queer Con into a vibrant celebration of freedom and expression.
