Led by Nikos Vatopoulos, we will explore the historic commercial heart of the city, uncovering echoes of the past, its layered stories, and the threads that still connect us to its history
This new walk is part of the series of Athenian city walks organized by the Hellenic American Union, aiming to explore different aspects of the center of Athens. Our meeting point will be the Museum of Greek Children’s Art, and the route will take us through the narrow streets of Plaka, into the city’s old commercial center and its surrounding neighborhoods.
As always, Nikos Vatopoulos will shed light on facets of the urban landscape and share stories that link Athens of the past with the contemporary city.
