Led by Nikos Vatopoulos, this time we explore the area around Dexameni and Kolonaki, discovering traces of the past, the stories of the city, and the ways in which we remain connected to its history
This new walking tour is part of a series of urban walks organized by the Hellenic American Union, aiming to explore the many different facets of central Athens. Starting from the Hellenic American Union building, we head uphill towards Sina Street and explore the narrow streets of Dexameni before making our way downhill to the heart of Kolonaki.
Focusing on 20th-century urban architecture in its diverse forms and functions, we will eventually reach Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, completing an extensive circular route that takes us along Akadimias Street and through the streets of Kolonaki and Neapoli.
