Michigan Language Assessment has recently announced that the first phase of the pilot testing sessions designed towards the announced changes in the ECCE and ECPE, has been completed.

The Hellenic American Union would like to thank the thousands of EFL learners from major test centers who participated in the pilot testing sessions administered in Greece under its auspices.

Michigan Language Assessment has also announced that pilot changes were well received by both test administrators and test takers worldwide. Pilot changes included the following:

  • ECCE: playing Listening Part 2 twice; a reduced number of items; an updated Writing task.
  • ECPE: new Listening parts; playing Listening Part 3 twice; a reduced number of items; more time to work on the writing task.

The final specifications for the revised ECCE and ECPE are expected to be finalised released in early 2020. The changes are scheduled to be introduced as of the May 2021 exams administration.
