Canvastic Moments: The Battle of the Brushes 🎨

Kindergarten classroom, Massalias 22

When a child creates, the world grows! And during the second Canvastic Moments workshop of the year, the world of our 4- and 5-year-old friends grew bigger, brighter, and far more colourful!

What happens when little hands are eager to create? The answer is Canvastic Moments! Through laughter, paintbrushes, tempera paints, and plenty of playful surprises, we discovered just how easy (or difficult) it is to paint while holding the paper on your head (Take it from us: it’s hard!). Still, our young artists rose to the challenge with enthusiasm and imagination.

We painted on all sorts of unconventional places, and yes, that includes our friend’s back as well! We took part in a “musical painting collaboration,” where artworks changed hands faster than a splash of paint finds its way onto the floor.

And who said brushes are the only artistic tools? With a piece of rope, some knitting wool or string, and a bit of tempera paint, the children created the most surreal, and at the same time wonderful, designs.

We saved the best for last: inspired by famous painters, the children created their very own masterpieces on canvas.

Because art shows us how children see the world: colourful, vibrant, and above all, free.
