An art exhibition inspired by the works of illustrator Daniela Stamatiadi, featuring "Portraits of Women Who Did Not Intend or Ought to Change the World," a reading, an open discussion, and an art workshop provide food for thought on gender stereotypesBased on Daniela Stamatiadi’s portraits of women, three creative writing workshops were held at the Cultural Workshop of the Network for Children’s Rights. The goal of the workshops, which included women—mothers, professionals in the humanitarian sector, and teenage girls—was to bring out different perspectives of women and address stereotypes through art, as they appear in Greek society. The workshops were conducted by the well-known authors Vaggelis Iliopoulos, Eleni Svoronou, and Angeliki Darlasi. Following the creative writing workshops, participants also took part in two art workshops designed and led by visual artists Daphne Kouri, Pavlos Nikolakopoulos, and Nadia Paraschou. The outcome of the overall project forms the program of this original initiative, co-organized by the Hellenic American Union and the Network for Children’s Rights. Women here and now, women yesterday and today. I Expect – I Desire. I Resign – I Resist.
