We celebrate Halloween with the cult rock musical "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"
The Hellenic American Union, in collaboration with Mooviereel, honors Halloween with a screening of the legendary horror-comedy rock opera "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (1975) directed by Jim Sharman. The film stars Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, and Tim Curry in his iconic role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter.
Based on Richard O'Brien’s musical, the story follows a newlywed couple, Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), on the most unforgettable night of their lives. When their car gets a flat tire during a fierce storm, they seek help at a spooky castle. Things take a wild turn when they meet the castle’s eccentric host – the drag scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry).
This cult phenomenon, considered one of the greatest cult movies in cinema history, traditionally involves interactive audience participation. To fully enjoy the screening, bring streamers, party blowers, and plastic gloves. Extra points if you come dressed either as characters from the film or in any creative costume!
Come travel through time and dance the Time Warp!
The screening is intended for audiences 18 years and older.
Before the movie, at 18:30, join us for the 1st Comicdom Cosplay – Halloween Edition, a cosplay event that promises to be unforgettable for participants and audience alike.
