An interactive workshop highlighting the connection between children’s literature and children’s emotional development
Award-winning author and illustrator Marina Gioti, educator and Head of Education at the Polka-Froelen Educational Organization Polka Chatziioannou-Stathopoulou, and theatre educator Afroditi Koretsi invite professionals working with children of preschool and school age to participate in a hands-on seminar that explores children’s books as tools for communication and emotional awareness.
The presenters will share experiential methods, practical tools, and creative activities that use literature as a starting point for dialogue, emotional expression, and management. Participants will also receive lesson plans, ready-to-use classroom or therapeutic materials, and a specially designed “decompression kit.”
The workshop is intended for teachers, preschool educators, psychologists, social workers, speech and occupational therapists, and parents who wish to enhance their communication with children through experiential and creative means.
