The American author, journalist, and art critic Katie Kitamura comes to the Hellenic American Union for a special discussion on the occasion of her new book Audition
Katie Kitamura, one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary American literature, will join the Greek audience for a conversation about literature, relationships, and the boundaries between reality and the roles that shape our lives. Her fifth novel, Audition, recently published in Greek by Dioptra Publications, was shortlisted for the 2025 Booker Prize and was also a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award.
Kitamura will be joined in conversation by journalist Giorgos Nastos.
Selected excerpts from the book will be read by actress Eugenia Dimitropoulou.
The discussion will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience and a book signing by the author. The event offers a rare opportunity for the Greek public to meet one of the most important contemporary American writers and to take part in an evening dedicated to contemporary American literature and storytelling.
Simultaneous interpretation into Greek will be available.
