Steve Blame, one of the most recognizable figures in the European music and television scene, comes to the Hellenic American Union Theatre for a discussion on music and pop culture
“Ten Lessons I Wish I’d Learned from Pop Stars Sooner” is a live multimedia lecture drawing on Steve Blame’s personal experiences with some of the biggest names in global music, including Tina Turner, Madonna, Elton John, and David Bowie. Through these stories, he explores what popular culture can teach us about brand, reinvention, innovation, identity, relationships, collaboration, resilience, and personal meaning.
Building on his career at MTV Europe and through a series of artist-led case studies, Steve Blame explores the shift from image and performance to deeper questions of validation, trauma, ambition, meaning, and legacy. It also draws connections with Greek artists, highlighting how the worlds created by artists can offer practical lessons for both personal and professional life.
Featuring David-Oliver Barouh, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration student at the university.
The lecture will be moderated by Dr. Maria Agorastou, LICSW, MSW, PhD, Director of the Counseling Center and Assistant Professor at Hellenic American University.
