Populism is a complex phenomenon, which has been gaining more and more ground in both Europe and Greece, and has become quite the commonplace term in political discourse. The crisis in the Eurozone has affected member-countries in different ways. The lack of trust in centrist politics coupled with Euroscepticism has lead to a rise of populists throughout Europe. So, what is the proper attitude that European citizens should have in the face of this phenomenon, and what is the relationship between populism and democracy?
