Poetic encounters: “Words (can) do it”
Event dedicated to the important Greek poet, Nikos Engonopoulos…

Although it is often believed that Nikos Engonopoulos’ (1907-1985) literary work is known, it is likely that its diversity and many different charms haven’t been fully perceived. On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the great Greek poet’s birth, 10 present-day poets restudy Engonopoulos, so as to identify points of common ground between his works and theirs, and share them with the public.
For this event, each one of the eleven poets will read a poem of their own, especially written for the event, “in response” to Engonopoulos' works and discuss about the source of their inspiration.
Participating poets include: Orfeas Apergis, Anna Griva, Panayotis Ioannidis, Dimitra Kotoula, Alekos Lountzis, Pavlina Marvin, Olga Papakosta, Christos Siorikis, Yorgos Spanos and Nandy Chatzigeorgiou.
