CaMLA seminar at the Hellenic American Union in Athens
In cooperation with Cambridge Michigan Language Assessments (CaMLA), the Hellenic American Union is offering a seminar titled Fairness procedures and concerns in testing: The CaMLA way.
What is the seminar about?
This seminar will focus on CaMLA’s fairness and bias review system, providing examples of problematic content and how it is revised to help ensure test content is accessible and relevant to all test takers.
Who is the seminar for?
The seminar is addressed to all Language School owners and EFL teachers who wish to learn more about how international test designers create assessments that are equally valid for all test takers – regardless of their cultural, linguistic, ethnic, or religious heritage.
Who is the presenter?
The seminar will be presented by Natalie Nordby Chen, Director of Assessment at CaMLA. Ms. Nordby Chen leads content development activities for CaMLA testing programs and manages a team of outstanding assessment professionals as well as serving on the leadership team. Her recent publications focus on access and accommodations for test takers with special needs.
