CaMLA seminars at the International Publishers Exhibition in Athens and Thessaloniki
In cooperation with Cambridge Michigan Language Assessments (CaMLA), the Hellenic American Union will offer two seminars at the upcoming International Publishers Exhibition in Thessaloniki (August 27-28) and Athens (September 3-4). The seminars, which provide insight into how the CaMLA ECCE and ECPE tests are designed, will be led by CaMLA’s Assessment Director, Natalie Nordby Chen.

This seminar will look at the content of two of the most popular English language tests in Greece with a focus on how constructs are tested and why.

Developing language tests is a complex procedure including systematic research, evaluation, and editing by assessment and education experts. During this seminar, participants will gain insight into this rigorous multi-step process, following a test question from specification through operationalization.
About the presenter
The seminars will be presented by Natalie Nordby Chen, Director of Assessment at CaMLA. Ms. Nordby Chen leads content development activities for CaMLA testing programs and manages a team of outstanding assessment professionals as well as serving on the leadership team. Her recent publications focus on access and accommodations for test takers with special needs.
