Invitation to participate in pilot examinations in October 2019
Michigan Language Assessment in cooperation with the Hellenic American Union (HAU) invites students to participate in ECCE and ECPE pilot examinations to be held in Athens and Thessaloniki.
The pilot examinations are organized within the framework of the pilot testing sessions designed towards the announced changes in the ECCE and ECPE examinations scheduled to be introduced in May 2021.
To this effect, please note that the format of the pilot examinations will NOT be exactly the same as the sections of the actual exam administration. The differences in the test format in the pilot examinations will NOT be part of the actual December 2019 and May 2020 ECCE and ECPE examinations which will have exactly the same format as the one students have been practicing in their preparation classes to date.
The pilot examinations materials have been developed by Michigan Language Assessment aiming to test participants’ linguistic ability targeting B2 and C2 CEFR levels. Besides the Listening and G(C)VR sections that will be marked by Michigan Language Assessment, the Writing section of the test will also be assessed. All participants will receive personalized feedback developed by Michigan Language Assessment’s raters.
We invite students who are currently preparing for either the upcoming examinations administration (ECCE/ECPE December 2019) or the one after (May 2020).
What are the benefits for students?
Participating in the ECCE and ECPE pilot examinations will benefit students in several ways:
- Gaining experience in participating in pilot examinations for high-stakes certificates before they take the actual test.
- Using the feedback on their performance and the personalized comments as indicators of the areas they should focus on either individually or in cooperation with their teachers for further improvement.
