Theater master class by Andreas Manolikakis at the Hellenic American Union“Textual Analysis” helps those involved in theatrical theory and practice to discover information that will help them make the most appropriate choices between and underneath the words a play consists of. This work focuses on understanding and developing all elements inherent in the plot and characters, with particular emphasis on the reality of each individual moment of the play.

Andreas Manolikakis is teaching this master class based on the Stanislavski system and the Actors Studio method. Excerpts from classic and contemporary plays will also be analyzed. The master class also traces the development of the Stanislavski System from its roots to the present and includes special exercises, which bring the participants in contact with their own, personal material.

Due to limited seating, those interested in participating should at first fill in an interest form (PDF, 156kb, in Greek). The form should be forwarded via email at with a short CV attached. The final selection of participants is subject to a short, online interview, scheduled for late November.

The masterclass will be conducted according to the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health and following the orders by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection.

Andreas Manolikakis is a lifetime member and a member of the Board of Directors of the Actors Studio.
