Ancient Greek Music
An evening of ancient Greek music and works by contemporary musicians based on ancient Greek literature...

Lecture by Dr. Nikos Xanthoulis entitled Ancient Greek Music. The talk is, followed by a concert with the Forminx ensemble and a lecture by Thomas Tamvakos, music writer, researcher and founder of the Thomas Tamvakos Archive of Greek Classical Composers entitled The excerpts of ancient Greek music and the relation of Greek composers with ancient Greek literature. A concert by the Philodos vocal quartet closes the evening.
The event is organized by the Hellenic American University, the Hellenic American Union and the Thomas Tamvakos Archive of Greek Classical Composers and takes place under the auspices of the Greek Composers’ Union.
