The Hellenic American Union presents the exhibitions Choro-graphy: In Search of the New American Landscape and Martial Arts as part of the Athens Photo Festival 2011 and in cooperation with the Hellenic Centre for Photography.

The exhibition Choro-graphy: In Search of the New American Landscape  includes works by Joni Sternbach, Nate Larson and Mami Shindelman, Matt Eich and James Tribble, and Tracey Mancenid. The exhibition is a visual exploration of the change in the American social landscape at a time of heightened alienation and economic uncertainty. The exhibition has been curated by Sam Barzilay.

The exhibition Martial Arts brings together the visual typography of “An Alphabet of War” and the triptych, “Warheads” of photographer and illustrator Victor Koen. The two series examines the ugly side of armed conflict from various visual standpoints.
