A new edition of poems by Elizabeth Bishop presented at the Hellenic American Union

The Hellenic American Union in cooperation with Hellenic American College (HAEC) and (.poema..) editions present a new edition of poems by Elizabeth Bishop translated, edited and with addendum by the author, poet and translator Yórgos Panayotídis.

Elizabeth Bishop was born in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1911. She is a prominent American poet, emblematic of the American modernist movement. In the ’70s, she taught at Harvard University. She was awarded with the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry and the National Book Award.

Speaking about the book will be: Titos Patrikios (Poet), Triantafillos Kotopoulos (Poet, Ass. Professor of Creative Writing and Greek Literature, University of Western Macedonia), Kostas Kremmydas (Poet and Publisher of the Mandragoras Literary Review), Yiannis Antiochou (Poet and Translator).
Yórgos Panayotídis will read from the book.
