When Petros Pelekanos met the Panda and the Meercat
Ms. Sophia Kalantzakou read out excerpts from her book and talked with the Club’s members. Then, the EcoFans voted for which animal from the Attica Zoological Park they want to adopt.
The EcoFans welcomed the politician and children’s book author Sophia Kalantzakou at the Hellenic American Union Library. She read out excerpts from her book Το καλοκαίρι του Πέτρου Πελεκάνου and enticed the children into a lively discussion concerning environmental issues, especially during holidays and trips to the Greek beaches. Her input was so great that the EcoFans made her an honorary member of the EcoFans Juniors Club. Next, the EcoFans voted on which animal at the Attica Zoological Park they would like to adopt, with the two top contestants being the panda and the meercat. During the vote, the meercat swept the panda.
