Announcement of Essay Contest 2013-2014 winners


On Saturday, April 12, 2014, the final round of the 2013-2014 Essay Contest “Cycling in the city: Switching to sustainable means of transport” was held at the Hellenic American Union. Final round participants came from Athens, Heraklion, Korinthos, Larissa, and Nafpaktos.

The first-prize winner of the Essay Contest for the academic year 2013-2014 is Konstantina Alexopoulou from the Foreign Language School Aikaterini Kyttea - Papadokostaki. The first prize is a folding bicycle.

The second-prize winner is Angeliki Dimitriadi from the Foreign Language School Vasiliki Karagianni-Chatzi. The second prize is a city bicycle.

The third-prize winner is Marina Milioni from the Foreign Language School Eurosuccess S.A. The third prize is a city bicycle.

  • Nikoleta Mode (FLS Maria Spanoudaki)

These winners will be awarded books and dictionaries.

All Essay Contest participants have already received a certificate of participation through their Foreign Language Schools.

The Hellenic American Union congratulates the winners of the contest and all participants of the 2013-2014 contest for their high standard of writing and performance. We would also like to congratulate the participating Foreign Language Schools and teachers for their continuous efforts to provide their students with the best possible foreign-language education.
