The names of the Roses
Concert of the Greek Composers Union featuring works by Francesco Antonioni, Theodore Antoniou, Lowell Liebermann, Andreas Argiros, Witold Lutosławski, Iosif Papadatos...

Ways for depicting color in music have always been an integral part of the composer’s technical repertory. During the first part of this musical event, the Six small portraits by Francesco Antonioni, the ten Akouarelles (Water colors) for piano by Theodore Antoniou and works by Lowell Liebermann and Andreas Argyrou will transform rhythm into images. In the second part of the concert, the audience will “travel” to Witold Lutoslawski’s garden and to Odysseas Elytis’ poems through the songs of Iossif Papadatos.
Participants: Maira Milolidaki, soprano, Christos Kechris, tenor, and Titos Gouvelis, piano. The event is organized by the Greek Composers' Union in cooperation with the Hellenic American Union and the Hellenic American Education Center.
