A Weft of Memory
Presentation of the English book, "A Weft of Memory, A Greek Mother’s Recollection of Songs and Poems", with traditional poems and songs from the mountainous region of Epirus...

Authors Vasiliki Scotes & Thomas J. Scotes preserve in their book the traditional poetry and songs of Epirus, as well as customs and traditions of the area that tend to disappear. The book also contains stories and notes about village feasts and customs, information about when and under what circumstances the songs were sung, and general comments about the cultural and historical context of the era.
Dr. Vassiliki Chryssanthopoulou (researcher at the Academy of Athens Hellenic Folklore Research Centre) and the book’s author Thomas J. Scotes (retired US diplomat and linguist) present the book.
