A talk by Nikos Vatopoulos about Neapolis, Athens at the Hellenic American Union

Neapolis, as one of the main urban neighborhoods of Athens, projects the image of a dense architectural palimpsest, offering a plethora of narratives. In his talk entitled "Neapolis: a walk through architecture", journalist and author, Nikos Vatopoulos, aims to demonstrate the diversity of Neapolis’ architecture, the atmosphere of its streets and the unique expression of a familiar Athenianism. Through rich photo and archival material, the audience will become familiar with the structural evolution of the area, feel the pulse that still beats inside its19th century buildings and detect the intriguing characteristics that inspired those who shaped this Athenian quarter.
