2012-2013 Going green: helping to create environment-friendly schools – Τελική φάση διαγωνισμού

Το Κέντρο Εξετάσεων και Πιστοποιήσεων υποδέχτηκε τους υποψηφίους, τους συγγενείς και τους δασκάλους τους στην Ελληνοαμερικανική Ένωση.

Μετά ένα σύντομο καλωσόρισμα οι δέκα υποψήφιοι διαγωνίστηκαν στη τελική φάση του διαγωνισμού γράφοντας έκθεση με το ακόλουθο θέμα:

Local education authorities announced yesterday that a new project called “Green Team Project” will be piloted for schools in the area during the new academic year. As part of the project each school will form a student ‘green team’ that will be active in protecting the environment in and around the school. Students will be invited to join the team and take part in activities coordinated by their teachers. Essay Topic

There is a growing tendency in many parts of the world to establish ‘green’ schools in which students take part in special projects and activities designed to raise awareness of the importance of protecting the environment. The role of school children in these ‘green’ schools is essential for the success of the ‘green’ school movement. What do you think are some of the advantages for school children in becoming engaged from an early age in activities designed to protect the environment? Give examples to support your view.

Ενώ οι υποψήφιοι συμμετείχαν στην διαδικασία του τελικού γύρου, οι συγγενείς / κηδεμόνες και καθηγητές τους συμμετείχαν σε ανοιχτή συζήτηση με στελέχη του Κέντρου Εξετάσεων και Πιστοποιήσεων.

Μετά το τέλος της γραπτής διαδικασίας οι υποψήφιοι και οι υπόλοιποι καλεσμένοι παρακολούθησαν παρουσίαση από τον κ. Σεραφείμ Χατζησκάκη, εκπρόσωπο της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Προστασίας της Φύσης (ΕΕΠΦ) και Υπεύθυνο Συντονισμού του περιβαλλοντικού προγράμματος Green Key. Ο κύριος Χατζησκάκης μίλησε για τις περιβαλλοντικές δραστηριότητες της ΕΕΠΦ και για τα εθνικά και διεθνή περιβαλλοντικά εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα στα οποία μπορούν να συμμετέχουν σχολεία και το ευρύ κοινό.

Η εκδήλωση ολοκληρώθηκε με γεύμα που παρατέθηκε για όλους τους συμμετέχοντες στην Ελληνοαμερικανική Ένωση.
