The post-lockdown era has underscored the need for investing in digital skills that allow us to remain productive, work together and manage communities remotely. In the context of the seminar, taught by Lida Tsene, we shall be examining the changes brought about by digital transformation in the fields of culture and education, discussing the challenges involved, and familiarizing ourselves with tools and platforms that help professionals tackle this new environment.

→ Fully ONLINE: Participate in the seminar from wherever you are! You just need a computer connected to the internet.
→ Flexible: No class attendance. Instead you can arrange your time for participating online in a way that is most convenient for you.
→ Reliable: Certificate of attendance on the condition of completing at least 70% of the exercises.
→ Contemporary: The seminar is conducted though Blackboard e-learning platform. No need to install any additional software. You just need to know how to use the Internet and how to send and receive emails. A good command of English to fulfil the reading assignments is required.

The seminar is aimed at students and graduates of various different disciplines and particularly students of the humanities, social sciences and economics. It is further aimed at professionals who are active in the fields of culture and education and wish to enhance their digital skills and understand the impact and necessity of digital transformation in their respective field.
The online seminar " Digital transformation in cultural and educational organizations" is organized in cooperation with the Hellenic American College / Hellenic American University. It is offered by the Hellenic American Union, a recognized Center for Lifelong Learning (ΚεΔιΒιΜ2) that has been granted a license of operation by the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (ΕΟΠΠΕΠ).
Lida Tsene holds a PhD from Panteion University in social media and social responsibility. She teaches Communication at the Open University of Cyprus and Cultural Communication at the Hellenic Open University. She has worked in communications, journalism, Corporate Social Responsibility and cultural management and has organized festivals, exhibitions and educational workshops. Since 2005 she has been the Public Relations Manager of Comicdom Press. For the last several years she has cooperated with the Hellenic American Union in organizing Comicdom Con Athens, which draws more than 15,000 visitors each year. She is also coordinator of the online seminars “Social Media and Arts Management” and “Cultural entrepreneurship: Designing and developing business models in the field of cultural industries”, offered by the Hellenic American Union since 2016.
