Michigan Language Assessment workshop at the Hellenic American Union in Athens
In cooperation with Michigan Language Assessment, the Hellenic American Union is offering a workshop on the ECCE and ECPE Writing.
The workshop is a unique opportunity for all Language School owners and EFL teachers since, for the first time, it is based on Greek test takers' genuine writing samples from the May 2018 ECCE and ECPE.
What is the workshop about?
In the first part of this interactive session, participants will learn to identify the features of ECCE and ECPE Writing responses that satisfy the assessment criteria. Through an analysis of writing samples from Greek test takers from the May 2018 ECCE and ECPE administrations, they will also develop strategies to inform classroom instruction and help students prepare for the exams. In the second part of the workshop, participants will be actively involved in writing assessment using authentic materials.
Who is the workshop for?
The workshop is addressed to all Language School owners and EFL teachers.
Who is the presenter?
The workshop will be run by Sharon Pearce, Assessment Manager at Michigan Language Assessment. She oversees test development and all quality assurance efforts for constructed response tests. She holds a BA in Spanish and an MA in Linguistics. Prior to joining Michigan Language Assessment, Sharon taught composition courses at an American college as well as ESL/EFL for adults in the US and Argentina.
